Real city feeling. More modern and somehow busier. However, there are also thousands of tourists around the historical places. This will be more evident in Moscow than in SPb.
I feel comfortable here somehow. Skip the sight seeing after half a day and spontaneously stroll along the Moskva River on inline skates.
Despite the sight-seeing avoidance strategy: I was able to collect enough impressions – and also pictures. To really experience a city, you have to spend more than a few days there anyway. I am satisfied for a first impression.
And then there is also an extensive visit to the supermarket – preparation for the 3.5-day Trans-Siberian Railway.
